Verification
Trusted, secure, and flexible identity verification
Whether you’re hiring at scale or managing compliance across a distributed workforce, CheckWorkRights makes identity verification seamless, accurate, and secure.

Instant identity validation via DVS
CheckWorkRights connects to the Australian Government’s Document Verification Service (DVS) to instantly authenticate key identity documents for Australian Citizens during the right to work process, ensuring your employee evidence documentation is authentic.
As an approved provider, we use secure encryption and comply with Australian Privacy Principles to maintain employee data security.

An easy process for manual verification
When an employee submits their evidence documents, their assigned verifier is automatically notified. Any user can verify documents, but we recommend assigning someone with direct knowledge and visibility of the employee, like a line manager or HR lead.
Verifiers check that:
- The document matches the employee’s details
- The photo ID matches the person
- All required info is present (with a Sample Document for reference)
If a document is rejected, the employee is automatically asked to resubmit—keeping the process moving.

"Easy system to use, you can just jump in and start using it. It’s so intuitive, we don’t even provide training to our staff, we just send them a link."
Anthony Peroukaneas, Bega GroupAutomated prompts keep compliance on track
Evidence documents don’t need to get lost in inboxes. As soon as a document is uploaded by an employee, assigned verifiers receive an automated notification with a secure link to review the evidence. They can easily view and provide verification via:
- Email link
- Employee profile
- Desktop dashboard
- Mobile app

Set up verifiers to match your organisation’s needs
CheckWorkRights gives you options to customise who sights and accepts employee documentation. You can assign a default verifier by business unit or set individual verifiers for specific employees—or use a mix of both, making it easy to manage compliance across teams, roles, and regions.
For example, a venue manager might be the default verifier for their team, but an HR team member or area manager can be assigned to verify the venue manager, ensuring no one approves their own documentation.

Keep sensitive employee data safe and secure
CheckWorkRights ensures data security and privacy in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988). Our verification process creates a clear audit trail without retaining sensitive documents for longer than necessary.
Each document type within CheckWorkRights has a designated retention timeframe based on its type, ensuring we only retain documents containing personal identifying information for as long as necessary to complete verification and ongoing checks.
These controls give you the record-keeping you need, without the risk.
