Why check for right to work?

Employers are required by law to verify that workers are allowed to work in Australia. This requirement is completed by confirming citizenship using an Australian passport, citizenship certificate, or birth certificate plus photo ID, or by checking relevant visa status using foreign citizenship evidence and a VEVO check.

Organisations must also ensure employees maintain a visa with conditions that allow work throughout employment, with the frequency of ongoing VEVO checks required based on the visa type. Evidence of regular checks is essential to remain compliant and avoid penalties.

Candidates receive a secure MyCheck link that steps them through check completion, no login credentials required.

Track progress with visibility and transparency

Use our visual dashboard to view candidate VEVO check progress. Set up company-wide reporting, or have specific updates automatically sent to relevant managers.

Candidates are automatically reminded to complete check requirements, saving you time.

View and verify evidence

Inspect documents and results centrally or designate a specific stakeholder. They’ll be automatically prompted via email to review and approve or decline.

Managers can verify employee identity, and confirm Citizenship declaration.

Automate ongoing checks for foreign citizens

Recurring VEVO checks are scheduled and visa specific, removing the need to sign into the VEVO website and run any manual checks. Any changes to visa details alerts are reported to your team in the dashboard and via email.

Keep evidence of checks, remove the risk

Keep a searchable record of all checks conducted through the platform for reference during a site visit or audit.
